BUSTER

Hi!!
My name is Buster – you can see a picture of me attached (my mommy can send you a bunch more pics…)

Well…here’s my story…I come from a great family, my mommy and daddy adopted me at 2 months old and had me neutered immediately, since they already have a female dog in the house…my sister Boo…she is great!! Anyway, I’m a year old now and love my family and they love me so very much. We’ve gone on many trips, hikes, walks, runs…you name it, we have done it. I know how to sit, high five, roll over, bow, stand, stay, play dead, speak, down, up, crawl…to name a few tricks (and can’t wait to learn more)…oh and one of the best things I do, I ring a bell when I need to go potty…yeah, pretty cool, I know. You can see my mom and dad have spent a lot of time with me and have trained me to be a smart and well mannered little boy…The sad part is that my Daddy had a stroke a few weeks ago and with Doctor's orders he needs to live a stress-free life. So with that said, I am still a pup and love to play…it’s too much with both my sister Boo and I playing all the time. My Daddy needs lots of rest and as I try really hard, it is still too much. This is breaking all our hearts, but my Daddy’s health is most important. So we’re looking for a great home for me to give a great family all the love I have given my family now. I am a huge mush (I know don’t tell the other boys) with lots of love and affection to give…I get along great with other dogs and love to play with kids.

If you are interested or know anyone who is, PLEASE call/e-mail my Mommy at the contacts given below, she’ll know what to do…We really have to find a great home for me quick…my Daddy’s health is important!!!

FRANK & BEANS

Frank - Frank is a male medium sized Chihuahua, 6 years old and weighs roughly 9 lbs. He is a very smart dog who loves to snuggle on the couch and be with his owner and his brother. Due to their protectiveness, we recommend a home with older children or adults only.

Beans- Beans is a male small sized Chihuahua, 5 years old and weighs roughly 4 lbs. He is a very shy dog that requires a lot of attention. Once he warms to you, he is very affectionate and also loves to snuggle on the couch with his owner and his brother.

These two dogs are extremely dependent on each other and can never be separated. Both have been neutered and are up to date with all vaccines and shots.

If interested, please contact Mark at (203)-778-6088.  Thank you!!

MONA

While visiting relatives in Arkansas, I began caring for a stray hound-pit bull mix. She had been hanging around my in-laws' home for a day or two before we arrived, on 6/30/07. My son and I removed well over one hundred ticks, and gave her a bath. One eye was nearly swollen closed, and a claw was broken and bleeding. She had several scars on her head and shoulders. She seemed to be either in heat or pregnant. We named her Mona because she would wiggle and moan with delight at even the slightest acknowledgment of her presence!

We could not leave her in Arkansas, so we put her in the van. 1,700 miles and two Super 8’s later, she is living quite happily with us, but we cannot keep her permanently. Mona LOVES people – she seems to get along well with children as well as adults. She also seems to get along well with dogs, but NOT CATS. We have two… Though we are extremely vigilant about keeping them separated, I would be devastated if she injured one of them.

The vet thinks Mona is 2 or 3 years old. She has now received all vaccinations, and has been spayed. She is now on Interceptor and Frontline Top Spot, and is supremely “huggable!” (“She cleaned up real good!!”) She is happiest sleeping on a bed with some human pack-member, and loves to snuggle. However, just because it’s a good skill for her to have, we have introduced her to a crate as well, and she’s doing very well. She will sleep all night in a crate in my son’s room without complaining.
She seems very smart! She easily learned to “sit,” “stay” (briefly…), “leave it,” and to walk on a leash without pulling – she’s happiest on a retractable leash sshe has some room to wander a bit. Mona is houtrained. She doesn’t even pee or poop on the deck. When taken out in the morning and before bed, she pees and poops quite readily. She has had a couple of accidents in the house, but I know it was my fault, as each time, I had not taken her out for quite a while, and had failed to pick up on signs of restlessness… She consistently holds it all night, however.

She rarely barks, even at pizza delivery guys. Though she has a voracious appetite, Mona has great manners when her people are eating, and when puppy treats are being handed out. Overall, she’s a very “low maintenance” dog, happy to lounge about in true hound tradition!
MONA IS A GREAT DOG! If you have some room in your life for this lucky Southern Belle, please be in touch!
