DAWS has a new Lead Dog Trainer!
We’re excited to announce that DAWS has a new Lead Dog Trainer! Evelynn Linden has recently joined our team and has been training dogs for 22 years as a head trainer at Petco. Her area of expertise is in behavior modification with aggressive and fearful dogs. She conducts group classes and developed an in home program to bring trainers to their next level of ability. She currently is working with several rescue groups, including the ASPCA, Cane Corso Rescue, Best Friends Animal Society, and Ollie’s Angels. She is also the lead trainer for See Spot Love, a nonprofit organization who pairs puppies with teenage fosters. She trains the teenagers to socialize, as well as teaches the pups leash manners, basic obedience, housetraining, and crate training. The teenagers then get a small portion of the adoption fee to use towards their education.
Evelynn has five dogs of her own, as well as a snake and rabbit. She is taking agility classes with her border collie and hopes to start competing. She is also teaching her bunny to do tricks via clicker training! In her free time, she enjoys taking care of her roses, cross stitching, crocheting and quilting. At DAWS, she will be performing evaluations, intros and creating a volunteer group of trainers.
