It’s hard to believe it’s already February! We had a great start to 2021 with 94 dogs and cats finding their furever families in January, one of which was our longest term kitty resident, Bailey, who was at the shelter for over three years!
Sally Rost has been a dedicated volunteer at Danbury Animal Welfare Society for the past 10 years. Originally, she came into our shelter to adopt and while there, learned about our volunteer program.

There’s no doubt that 2020 was a difficult year for all of us. When the pandemic hit in March, we had to temporarily suspend transporting, intakes, and reevaluate how we’d move forward. However, during these unprecedented times, we got through!
