TEAM SPOTLIGHT, FEBRUARY 2024

REGINA WILLIAMS

Regina Williams, a compassionate soul with a heart as big as her love for dogs, found solace and purpose in fostering after losing her beloved beagle. In March, her world shifted as she said goodbye to her faithful companion of 11 years. The pain of that loss lingered, leaving Regina hesitant to fill the void with another permanent furry friend. Instead, she turned her grief into an opportunity to provide temporary love and care for those in need.

“I am a foster mom for puppies and dogs,” Regina says, her voice filled with warmth and dedication. “It’s a way for me to give back and honor my dear beagle’s memory.”

Since April 2023, Regina has opened her home and heart to countless four-legged companions. For her, fostering isn’t just about providing shelter and sustenance; it’s about companionship, mutual joy, and discovering the unique personalities of each furry guest.

“I love the companionship that comes with fostering,” she shares, a smile evident in her words. “It’s just as beneficial for me as it is for the dogs.”

Regina’s routine is a testament to her commitment. As a devoted walker, she ensures her fosters get plenty of exercise, relishing in their shared delight as they explore the world together. But the quieter moments, the ones spent curled up on the couch with a furry friend nestled close, hold a special place in her heart.

“They are the best companions,” Regina muses fondly. “Each one holds a piece of my heart.”

Through fostering, Regina has gained a newfound appreciation for the tireless efforts of animal rescue organizations and the dedicated individuals who work tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of animals in need.

“I am truly humbled by all the wonderful people who work so hard to give the animals a safe place to be until they find a home,” she reflects. “I am grateful to be even just a small part of it all.”

Regina’s impact extends beyond the walls of her home, forging lasting connections with fellow fosters, adoptive families, and the larger rescue community. Her dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed, earning her praise and admiration from those who have witnessed her unwavering commitment firsthand.

“Regina Williams is the kind of foster mom every rescue group wants!” Karen Pasieka exclaims, her words echoing the sentiment of many. “We are so fortunate to have Regina on our Foster Team.”

For Regina, fostering isn’t just a hobby; it’s a calling, a lifeline that brings purpose and fulfillment to her days. With two grown children leading busy lives, fostering has become Regina’s chosen path, a journey of love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the well-being of animals in need.

In the memory of her beloved beagle and in the eyes of every dog she welcomes into her home, Regina finds purpose, solace, and boundless love.
