A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is a simple, tax-smart way to support the lifesaving work of Danbury Animal Welfare Society (DAWS). By contributing cash, stock, or other assets to your DAF, you receive an immediate tax deduction while recommending grants to charities like DAWS over time.

Your DAF gift directly fuels our mission by helping homeless pets through every step of their journey, from safe transport and medical care to behavior support, enrichment, and adoption into loving homes.

How it works
If you contribute $5,000 to your DAF, you’ll receive the tax deduction now while deciding later how to distribute the funds. Recommending a $1,000 grant to DAWS can assist us with our lifesaving work, while the remaining $4,000 continues to grow in your fund for future gifts.
